• The Domain
In the South of Avignon, the Domaine des Peyre, 5mn from Gordes and Isle sur la Sorgue is surrounded by the most famous perched villages of the Luberon: Oppède, Roussillon,…It’s a les than an hour from Arles Roman city, the Camargue, Saint Rémy de Provence, Avignon and the vineyards of the Rhone valley, it’s a ideal place to visit authentic Provence.

• Plot selection
Clay-sundy and clay-limestone south exposure.
The grapes for our wines come from vines cultivated according to integrated farming principles. Individual plots are harvested at peak ripeness.
Age of the vine: +30 years – 25 hecolitres/hectare.

• Vinification and maturing
The grapes are initially selected on the vines and then sorted on arrival in the winery, destemmed, and pumped into vats for cold maceration and fermentation, which lasts 8 days. Temperatures are maintained below 30°C.
Daily pumping over and some running off – vatting time: 21 days
Bottling at the Domaine.

Color: glowing dress
Nose: Expressive peppery and spicy nose
Palate: Suave on the palate where notes of red fruits intermingle. Its round tannins play with freshness.
